Aspire Hope for Kids: Therapy for Students, Growth for
Counselors, Impact for All
Aspire Hope for Kids, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is
dedicated to empowering school counselors, who are Licensed
Professional Counselor Candidates (LPCCs), on their path to
becoming fully Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs). We
provide individual therapy to students with the greatest needs,
creating transformative change in four keyways:
-
Ensuring Kids Get Crucial Therapy
Schools deliver an estimated 85% of mental health services
for children under 18, yet many students' needs remain unmet.
A small group-roughly 10-20% of students-often requires the
majority of counseling time, leaving others underserved. By
providing one-on-one therapy to high-need students, Aspire
Hope for Kids helps these children thrive while enabling
school counselors to offer proactive care to all students.
-
Freeing Counselors to Focus on All Students
When intensive cases are supported by dedicated therapists,
school counselors can focus on broader student engagement and
preventative services. This reduces counselor burnout,
fosters a healthier school environment, and ensures every
child receives the attention they need.
-
Elevating Counselor Expertise and Opportunities
By supporting LPCCs in becoming dually licensed LPCs, we
enhance the quality of care available to students. These
newly licensed LPCs can also expand their professional
opportunities, such as providing therapy outside schools
during breaks, helping address the nationwide therapy
shortage with highly qualified providers.
-
Improving Attendance and School Funding
Effective mental health support leads to better school
attendance, benefiting students' well-being and academic
performance. Higher attendance also increases state
reimbursements for schools, creating a positive financial
impact for the entire community.
At Aspire Hope for Kids, we believe every child deserves timely,
expert care, and every counselor deserves the resources to
thrive. By aligning these goals, we promote student success,
build healthier school communities, and nurture a new generation
of dually licensed counselors ready to make a lasting
difference-in schools and beyond.
